Directory methodology
A record is a starting point for verification.
Use these definitions to understand what the company profiles establish, what they leave unknown and how to check the details before booking.
Where the records come from
Company profiles are supplied through the shared Chimney Sweeps Hub directory. This site organizes those records into company, city, state and service views. We have not visited or independently assessed each listed company.
The feed is refreshed through cached requests. A change in the source may therefore take time to appear here. Editorial guides and illustrative images are separate from the business data. No generated company, invented customer review or illustrative scenario is added to the live directory as a real provider record.

Ordering and commercial labels
The directory search offers location, company-name and record-update sorting. It does not calculate a consumer safety score. Upstream tier or quality-score fields are not used as a published expert ranking by this site. A company appearing earlier in a list should not be read as a recommendation.
City results and homepage selections are subsets of the source records, not an independently tested shortlist. A prominent card, image or position does not establish endorsement. We do not label the generated illustrative image as a photograph of that company’s work.
Missing data stays unknown
Missing insurance or credential information does not prove that a business is uninsured or unqualified. An absent phone number does not prove that it has closed. Ask for current evidence directly. Similarly, an included value may have changed since it was recorded; presence is not a substitute for verification.
How the coverage report is calculated
Company counts come from the available records, deduplicated by record identifier. Service totals count a company once for each distinct service category it lists, so service totals can exceed the number of companies. State and city counts describe this dataset’s coverage, not every provider operating in those places.
Nearby-city suggestions use approximate straight-line distances between averages of available business coordinates. They do not measure travel time or municipal centers. Where coordinates are unavailable, other state locations are labeled without claiming a measured distance.

Send the profile URL, the field in question, the current public information and a supporting official business or credential-source link. State whether you represent the business. Avoid private customer records or identity documents. A request is evidence to assess; it does not automatically rewrite the upstream record or establish the truth of a disputed claim.
